Nick Maley

Special Makeup and Creature FX Designer, screenwriter, Second Unit Director, author, motivational speaker, founder of the Follow Your Star Foundation and STARnet Events, Nick was a member of Stuart Freeborn's creature crew on Star Wars IV A New Hope and became a key contributor to the creation of Yoda for The Empire Strikes Back. Having contributed to Superman - The Movie, The Shining, and devised sequences for movies like Highlander, Krull and the groundbreaking creature effects in the cult movie Lifeforce, he is a veteran of over 60 movies. His knowledge of creature creation and practical effects, combined with his constant desire to uplift the lives of those he meets, has endeared him to three generations of movie fans.

David Whiteley

British award-winning broadcaster, documentary maker and author, David is the presenter of BBC One Current Affairs programme, Inside Out.  He also regularly hosts the regional evening news for the East of England.

Born on May the Fourth (Yes, Star Wars day!), 1977 he and his team made The Galaxy Britain Built about some of the the British talent behind the classic Star Wars trilogy including STARnetEvents founder Nick Maley.  David also wrote a book of the same name published in the U.S. by BearManor Media.

In 2019. His follow up documentary Toy Empire about Palitoy Star Wars Toys became a phenomenon in Britain, .

John Richardson

Special Effects Supervisor John Richardson's credit list speaks for itself... 
eight Harry Potter movies… the Sorcerer's Stone, the Chamber of Secrets, the Prisoner of Azkaban, the Goblet of Fire, the Order of the Phoenix, the Half-Blood Prince, and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 & Part 2. Also nine  Bond 007 movies… Casino Royale in 1967, Moonraker, Octopussy, A View to a Kill , Living Daylights, License to Kill, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day. Plus Men in Black II, Starship Troopers, Willow, Aliens, Pink Panther movies, Flash Gordon, Superman and other movies going all the way back to Lawrence of Arabia in 1962.
A specialist in miniatures, pyrotechnics, blue and green screen, John has done it all.

Craig Miller

Craig was Director of Fan Relations for Lucasfilm from 1977–1980. He created and oversaw the Official Star Wars Fan Club as well as having edited and written virtually all of the first two years of Bantha Tracks.  

He was the Producer of the Star Wars Sesame Street episodes in addition to operating R2-D2's head in those episodes. Additionally he was Producer for Lucasfilm on commercials such as those for licensee Underoos..

Craig created the 800-number telephone hotline for The Empire Strikes Back that allowed fans to call up to receive added information about the films and characters with messages recorded by the actors.

Peter Beale

We are honored to include Peter Beale, the Executive in Charge of Production of Star Wars IV - A New Hope, and Star Wars V - The Empire Strikes Back whilst Managing Director of 20th Century Fox UK. As you can imagine, Peter's insights into making and launching Star Wars is extraordinary. 

 His other work includes Lawrence of Arabia, Dr Zhivago, The Rocky Horror Show, The Omen, Alien and Elephant Man to name just a few and he became Managing Director of EMI UK also.
