This is
Nick
Dudman in 1981. He holds a small maquette of
the Bib
Fortuna design as he models the prosthetics in
clay on a plaster head of Michael
Carter. At this stage you will note that the
forehead has not yet been detatched from the cranium.
Mike sits patiently as Nick applies the pieces. Well...
actually... no! This is clearly a staged shot for publicity purposes.
Note how the bladders are conveniently visible on Mike's shoulders
and Nick would never glue down the forhead before they, and the
cranium were firmly fixed in place.
That's more like it. The prosthetics attached, Nick
applies the color. From the look on Mike's face I think he's wishing
he'd used the bathroom before he sat down!
