Jet blast at Maho (Sunset) Beach the end of the airport runway, Maho, Sint Maarten There are numerous reports on line about folks having fun braving this unusual experience. Plane spotters are thrilled as BIG jets pass 50 feet over their heads as touch down on the nearby runway. The jetblast sometimes bowls them into the sea and other tourists hang out there just to watch! Also known as Sunset Beach... it has great sunsets. Beware of flying sand. Sunset Beach Bar next door is a good viewpoint and reportedly offers free drinks to women who go topless. Some consider that another good reason to go there.
