Olivier Award-winning actor Oliver Ford Davies has been working in theatre, film, and television for the last 30 years.

Between 1964 -1966 he was a History Lecturer at Edinburgh University and also obtained a PhD at Oxford University. He most recently played Count Shabielski in Jonathan Kent's critically acclaimed production of Ivanov at the Almeida Theatre, and in Moscow. Other theatre credits include: Racing Demon, Murmuring Judges and Absence of War in the David Hare Trilogy at the Royal National Theatre, The Old Country (Watford Palace Theatre), Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde at the RSC, and between 1988 - 1991 he was in The Shaughraun, Hamlet, Racing Demon (Best Actor-Olivier Awards '90) and The Shape Of The Table at the Royal National Theatre. Between 1975 and 1986 he was in 25 productions with The Royal Shakespeare Company including Henry IV, V, VI, Coriolanus, As You Like It, The Greeks and Waste.

Ford Davis's film credits include Emma Thompson's award-winning Sense and Sensiblility directed by Ang Lee, Mrs Dalloway directed by Marleen Gorris, Scandal directed by Michael Caton-Jones, Defense of the Realm directed by David Drury, and Paper Mask directed by Christopher Morahan.

His television credits are numerous and include Pie in the Sky, The Absence of War, Kavanagh QC, Between the Lines, Inspector Morse, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, A Royal Scandal and Wycliffe.
