Cast Profiles: Frank Oz..

It seems odd to me that the official Lucasfilm site provides such a skimpy bio of Frank when his contribution to Episodes V & VI was so huge. I could go on all day about what a nice guy Frank is and how he never complained about being subteranian in "a slimy mud hole" (and you had to be there to know how true that line really was). Instead you should read the pages: Background to the STARWARS Creature design, The making of Yoda Parts I, II, & III (not in place yet). Let me just say he had plenty to complain about... and showed us all what it means to be a professional.

Frank Oz first achieved fame as one of the major creative forces behind The Muppets. He performed Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. He made his feature film directorial debut with Jim Henson on The Dark Crystal. His subsequent directing credits include The Muppets Take Manhattan, Little Shop of Horrors, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, What About Bob?, Housesitter, The Indian in the Cupboard, and In & Out.
